The Cluster Project started as a partnership with Anna Terra and is now led solo by Talent. It aims at offering a unique experience for those who want to practice English while having fun, learning new things, and connecting with others that have similar interests. A Toast to Nassau was a delicious boat ride along Capibaribe River, getting to know the history of the city while tasting local awesome beer. The participants dropped off at Marco Zero and headed straight to Apolo Beer Café, where they had an optional lunch for those who wanted to keep interacting further. It was the first of our Cluster Project series, in January ,2019, and it was simply amazing!
In this awesome Cluster Project activity, we visited both “Cais do Sertão” and “Paço do Frevo”. The first one is a museum that unites technology and the tradition to narrate the Sertão and its characters, sounds, and images. The second one is a space of diffusion and research about one of the most famous rhythms from Pernambuco: Frevo! In this museum, we learnt about the history of frevo and its relationship to the city around us. Helô was our facilitator, and she is a museologist, so she didn’t leave any detail behind!
We watched segments of the Marvel movies in chronological order and talked about each of the characters. It was so awesome we even forgot about the time! There were friendly discussions and we alse learnt interesting facts about our heroes – and villains! After all, what would our beloved heroes be if not for their enemies?
Ramon Gondim was the barista who led this amazing experience, through the tastes and aromas of brewed coffee, at Café dp Brejo, in February, 2019. The participants tasted three different ways of filtering the same coffee beans, Castanha do Brasil from Santa Rita farm, and believe it or not, they tasted completely different. They’ve also learned about the history of coffee, fun facts and talked about the experience with the most beloved drink in our country. There was also a traditional or veggie plate for dinner!
No TALENT BEER DAY os participantes aprenderam sobre três cervejas artesanais aqui de Pernambuco, da Navegantes Cervejaria e como harmoniza-las com entrada, prato principal e também sobremesa, do Meu Chapa e Apolo Beer Café! Aconteceu no Garage Food Trucks, em Novembro de 2018, com o sommelier Raphael Vasconcelos, que contou tudo sobre as cervejas degustadas e como escolher o petisco certo para cada uma delas! Pela primeira vez em Pernambuco, isso tudo foi feito em inglês!
O Music Hall foi uma série de eventos da Talent, para alunos e também aberta ao público, que tinha o objetivo de praticar o inglês ouvindo música! Ele atendeu a todos os gostos, com músicas românticas, trilhas sonoras e também muito Rock’n’roll.
Este evento inovador, realizado pela Talent Language Solutions, contou com a participação especial da nutricionista Natália Alcântara, que falou sobre o veganismo, num bate papo descontraído e cheio de interação, e ainda fez duas receitas para degustação – tudo em inglês! A Talent fechou parceria com uma série de marcas e sorteou vários produtos veganos – de comida a cosméticos e até comida para os pets! Você sempre teve curiosidade sobre o veganismo? O Talent Vegan Day aconteceu no Garage Food Trucks, em Junho de 2018, e toda a renda foi revertida para o Resgatinhos da Gigi, que faz um lindo trabalho de resgate e castração de animais de rua.
A Game Night foi uma série de eventos da Talent, para alunos e também aberta ao público, que tinha o objetivo de praticar o inglês jogando diferentes jogos, de um simples UNO a um Charades!
A Geek Night foi um evento para quem curte vídeo games. Com a participação mais que especial de Marcelo Andrade, colecionador de games e entusiasta, os participantes aprenderam um pouco sobre a história e evolução de diferentes consoles e jogos – tudo em inglês! E se divertiram jogando vários vídeo games, dos clássicos aos mais modernos! Aconteceu na Taverna Burgbeer, em Março de 2018.
